Mod With A Twist is a series of five 10 minute presentations highlighting the fun, craziness and whimsy of the Midcentury. Topics may include design, fashion, architecture, food, fashion and TV culture. That's right, TV and culture in the same sentence! We are proud to say that we have been one of the most popular events during the past 7 Modernism Weeks and often sell out. Attendees are guaranteed to chuckle, gasp, and learn something new while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.
Since there are two completely different programs - Living the Dream and Selling the Lifestyle - many people buy tickets for both and get the full TWIST effect. Please join us for another uproariously fun time at Modernism Week.
Living the Dream program (February 15, 17, 19, 21) includes:
Stephen Drucker – Futurama: Let’s Go To the World's Fair
Greg Hough – Palm Springs Stories: Growing up with the Stars
Debra Hovel – Power Couples: Design Couples in the Midcentury
Laura Hein – Think Pink: The Midcentury's Favorite Color
Bob Bogard – HiFi Living: Record Albums Were Guides for Gracious Living
Selling the Lifestyle program (February 14, 16, 18, 20, 22) includes:

Alaina Bixon - If Architects Did Hair: 60s Soft Sculpture and Sharp Lines
