Full Details

Every year the students at St. Theresa Catholic School bring the city's architectural heritage to life through artful interpretations of noted midcentury homes and buildings in Greater Palm Springs. The 6th grade class will once again exhibit their remarkable models of Palm Springs midcentury architecture alongside artworks by the 7th grade class based upon historical or cultural events that occurred at midcentury. The 4th grade will display their hand-painted and glazed tiles with drawings transferred from their architectural drawings on paper. Architectural historian Robert Imber will be available to answer questions about the church which was designed by architect William Cody and completed in 1968. These projects are supported by a partnership with the Palm Springs Modern Committee whose Education Committee provides in-class curriculum and arranges for donations of educational tools including books, DVDs, maps and a Palm Springs architectural mobile app.
