The Racquet Club Estates 11th Annual Home Tour will showcase the midcentury modern beauty of six unique Alexander homes built in the late 1950s and early 1960s. There will also be a collection of classic cars parked at each home and a catered reception with a celebrity guest speaker following the tour. The tour will include Alexander modern homes designed by respected architect William Krisel which exude the midcentury modern vernacular found in the soaring wafer-thin rooflines, clerestory windows, and open floor plan, and street views of the historic Alexander “Steel Houses” designed by respected architect Donald Wexler epitomizing the midcentury modern era being made with innovative construction material and method of assembly.
At check-in you will receive a guide booklet and entry band as well as any other instructions. Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Vista Del Monte Elementary School auditorium located at 2744 North Via Miraleste. The homes are open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a catered reception and celebrity guest speaker from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Proceeds from our home tours are used for projects benefiting our neighborhood and the Palm Springs community at large.
