With his unbridled enthusiasm and keen expertise, Charles leads a spirited adventure atop a double-decker, open-air bus highlighting exterior views of spectacular midcentury modern estates and homes, commercial and civic buildings, retro neighborhoods and other treasures that have made Palm Springs world famous.
Charles shares the glories and stories of legendary landmark homes and hotels in all the historic neighborhoods, including Vista Las Palmas, Movie Colony, Twin Palms and more. Marvel at Elvis’ “House of Tomorrow” hideaway and the famed “Twin Palms” estate of Frank Sinatra. He also dishes on his favorite local restaurants, resorts, bars, boutiques, and other not to be missed local attractions in Palm Springs.
Charles Phoenix is an entertainer, author, tour guide, and food crafter. His live retro slide show performances, “field trip” tours, “test kitchen” creations, coffee table books and social media celebrate classic and kitschy American life and style, past and present.
