As a 10 year old in 1954, Greg Thompson fell in love with a picture of Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Life Magazine. 47 years later, he marries her! The improbable true story of a successful producer of musical reviews who discovers a young girl from a small town in Minnesota, marries her and she becomes the star of his one-woman theatrical tribute to Marilyn Monroe, the critically acclaimed stage musical, Marilyn Forever Blonde, starring Sunny Thompson.
The play was written to allow Marilyn to tell her own story in her own words and music on what might have been the last day of Marilyn's life. Now, ten years later, following a critically acclaimed, award-winning run of more than 700 performances on three continents, Sunny tells of her simultaneous love affair with Marilyn and with her playwright, producer husband, in a new documentary film entitled Becoming Marilyn Monroe.
Immediately following the screening the film’s star, Sunny Thompson, will perform vocal impressions of Marilyn Monroe and other famed blondes live on stage.
